Blink Blox
Blink Blox by Swoobie was an addictive puzzle game for iOS that challenged players to strategically arrange and drag colored blocks into empty spaces within a limited timeframe. With the main goal of captivating players of all skill levels, Blink Blox aimed to enhance pattern recognition and problem-solving skills in a fun and approachable way.
The game revolved around dragging colored blocks and strategically aligning them in empty spaces, either horizontally or vertically, in a thrilling race against time. The objective was to clear the boards before the clock ran out. With each level, the challenge intensified, requiring players to think quickly and strategically to find the best block placements.
The game mechanics emphasized the importance of precision and efficiency, as players had to analyze the board, identify patterns, and make calculated moves to create cohesive block formations. Every decision counted as they strived to achieve the highest score and complete levels within the given time limit. As players delved deeper into the game, they encountered increasingly complex puzzles that tested their problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving challenges.
In this project, I took on multiple pivotal roles: art director, game designer, and UX/UI designer. As the art director, I shaped the game's visual style, curating a captivating and unique aesthetic. I defined the color palette and art direction, ensuring a cohesive and visually stunning experience.
As game designer, I crafted engaging gameplay mechanics, carefully balancing challenge and reward. Pacing, level design, and progression were meticulously considered to captivate players and encourage exploration.
In the role of UX/UI designer, I created an intuitive interface, guiding players seamlessly through the game. Attention to button placement, information flow, and navigation resulted in a smooth and enjoyable user experience.
